5 Things To Do When You Launch a New Offer
Launching a new offer can feel stressful and overwhelming.
"How many emails should I send to my list? What do I say?"
"How many social media posts should I create about the product?"
"I gotta build the landing page..."
Launches can quickly become exhausting. But knowing exactly what to do and having a checklist of items to accomplish can help the entire process—both from a stress-management perspective, as well as a revenue generating perspective.
The correct launch checklist = less overwhelm and more sales.
Here's 5 items to add to your launch checklist:
1 | Create a pre-promotion plan
Start with understanding how long your launch "window" will be...
2 weeks? 3 weeks? It's helpful to understand so you can plan accordingly.
From there, list out your promotional channels. Examples:
1) Email list
2) LinkedIn
3) Instagram
Then, sketch out the phases of promoting your product:
1) Teaser content
2) Formal announcement
3) Core promotion series
4) Reminders and last calls
Always be answering the question: "Why should I buy this NOW?"
Create urgency around your new offer as that's the number 1 driver of sales.
2 | Have a story behind why you created the offer in the first place
A good story is incredible for marketing, but it also allows people to see themselves needing the solution you've built. They'll imagine their own life as it is, going through the exact struggle you envisioned as you were developing the product.
Try to answer the question: "Why I made this..." and include that reason as part of your advertising and campaign.
3 | Create bursts of familiarity
Launches are the time to ramp up awareness of your brand and product.
So if you're wondering "how many emails should I send?" or "How much should I post on social?" ... The answer is more than you usually do.
Quite frankly, the more the better...
Launches are NOT a time to fear people unsubscribing from your list or unfollowing you on social media. Launches are a time to make sure your biggest fans see what you've created.
Post daily—everywhere—and as it gets closer to launch, consider posting multiple times daily and sending 2-3 emails to your list.
4 | Have a series of cross-promotions
Tap into other people's audiences by way of sponsored posts, newsletter swaps, and affiliate programs.
Use your network to help each other out! The timing of them displaying your information and offer is during your launch window—then you can return the favor to them later on.
5 | Paid promotion
If you're only going to run paid ads or sponsorships sparingly, the time to do it is during the launch of your new offer.
If you spent time and energy creating something amazing (that people can benefit from), please take the risk and put it in front of more people!
